With over 30 years of law enforcement experience—including serving as Chief of Police—David Gelsthorpe is a proven public servant ready to bring strong, principled leadership to Hill County Commissioner Precinct 4.
David’s career has been built on a foundation of integrity, transparency, and fiscal responsibility. As Chief of Police, he was entrusted with managing significant budgets, always ensuring taxpayer dollars were used wisely to improve public safety and community services. He has a track record of making tough decisions, streamlining operations, and leading departments with both efficiency and compassion.
Throughout his years of service, David has developed a deep understanding of how local government works—and more importantly, how it should work for the people it serves. He knows that residents of Precinct 4 deserve safe roads, responsible budgeting, and county leadership that listens and responds to their concerns.
